Oakwoods & Little Oaks are carefully managed carp lakes, and all anglers are expected to follow the fishery rules at all times. These standards protect the carp, maintain the lakes and help every member enjoy a safe and respectful fishing environment.
Fish welfare is central to how the syndicate is run. Members must use the correct equipment, handle every carp responsibly and treat the lakes, swims and surrounding land with care.
Good fishing begins with good preparation and responsible handling.
Mats, slings and landing nets are supplied on site and must be used where provided. This protects the carp and reduces the risk of cross-contamination between waters.
All carp must be handled carefully and returned safely. Fish should never be left unattended on the bank, and everything must be prepared before a fish is lifted from the water.
Consistent equipment and careful preparation make every capture safer for both the fish and the angler.
Use the venue’s landing nets, unhooking mats and slings wherever they are provided.
Have the mat, scales, sling and camera ready before lifting a carp from the water.
Weighing bars are available in Little Oaks swims for safe, controlled handling.
Boilies, pellets, particles and other carp baits should be used responsibly. All prepared particles must be properly cooked and safe for fish.
Little Oaks has previously offered cooked maize and wheat to members between April and October. Please confirm current availability before relying on this for your session.
Any banned or restricted baits will be explained when joining or before fishing.
